About Sign Local

Sign Local was created to help Deaf communities across the United States, Canada, and their territories find local Deaf events and useful resources. For years, smaller community events have been difficult to discover—especially when someone is traveling, has recently moved, or does not yet know where the local Deaf community shares information. Sign Local is here to make those connections easier.

Select Add an event from the main menu.
Enter the event and location details. Choose an address suggestion or use the map to confirm the exact location.
Choose the schedule, audience, event type, and signing level. Recurring events will show their dates for the next year so individual dates can be adjusted.
Add the description and any flyer or media, then enter your private contact information.
Select Review event, check the preview, and return to edit anything that needs correcting. When it looks right, submit it for Admin review.
